1st International Conference on Dextrous Autonomous Robots and Humanoids

The 8th Eurobotopen Competition (Final round of the European robotic competitions, following national Cups held in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, etc.) will be organized in May 2005 in the town of Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland; for the first time out of France.

In continuation with past years, the participation of about 50 teams is expected, gathering from more than 20 countries, including at most the 3 best teams of each nation, coming from Europe or from the rest of the world (www.eurobot.org).

During this event, the 1st International Conference (and 2nd Workshop) on Dextrous Autonomous Robots and Humanoids is also planned, in full synergy with robotic competitions, Roboka web-based Humanoid Competition finals, and some other extraordinary local Art, Science and Technology events.

The Conference aims at exchanging expertise in the currently most advanced scientific and technological issues relating to the field, with the focus to foster innovation and the improvement of current best practices. It will be mostly hosted at the West Switzerland University of Applied Sciences, also in Yverdon-les-Bains.

Beside regular papers and a poster session, the Conference will include Keynote presentations, Highlight Lectures open to the public, as well as a Workshop where experimental verification and hands-on education will be conducted.
